6th September 2020
We have had a confirmed case of Covid-19 within WILLOW CLASS.
We have followed the national guidance and the whole of WILLOW CLASS MUST NOW STAY AT HOME AND SELF-ISOLATE UNTIL 21ST SEPTEMBER 2020. This means that they must not leave the house at all.
Miss Yates will switch to online learning for the class until 21ST SEPTEMBER and will provide daily activities for the children through the WILLOW CLASS PAGE on the WEBSITE and will post the same activities via CLASS DOJOS if this is easier for you.
If your child is well at the end of the 14 days period of self-isolation, then they can return to school. A negative test does not mean that your child can stop self-isolating or return to school earlier than 21ST SEPTEMBER.
If your child receives pupil premium free school meals, we will provide a packed lunch for them which can be picked up from school daily at 12:30pm. If you are unable to collect it yourself, you can arrange for a family member or friend to collect it. After a few days, we will receive food parcels from LCC that last a week for each child for you to collect.
Other members of your household (including other children) can continue normal activities and schooling unless your child develops symptoms within this self-isolation period. Please see the link to the PHE Staying at Home Guidance: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-stay-at-home-guidance/stay-at-home-guidance-for-households-with-possible-coronavirus-covid-19-infection.
If your child develops symptoms of COVID-19, they should remain at home for at least 7 days from the date when their symptoms appeared as advised in https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-stay-at-home-guidance.
Symptoms of COVID-19
The most common symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are:

How to stop COVID-19 spreading
There are things you can do to help reduce the risk of you and anyone you live with getting ill with COVID-19.
· wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds
· use hand sanitiser gel
· wash your hands as soon as you get home
· cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve when you cough or sneeze
· put used tissues in the bin immediately and wash your hands afterwards.

All children in other classes can attend school as normal. I would ask you to be extra vigilant and please ensure that you adhere to social distancing, especially when dropping off and picking up your children.
With my very best wishes
