Class Teacher - Miss S Taylor
Teaching Assistant - Mr C Pickup
Hello and welcome to Elm Class!
We are a Year 3 class who are eager to learn and excited to be in Key Stage 2! We work together and help each other to be a ‘Gerald’ - never giving up and embracing our mistakes.
Our classroom is warm, colourful and inviting with a beautiful reading corner and lots of resources for us to use. Since we are new to KS2, we focus on being independent and taking ownership of our learning.
We start our day with prayer and ask God to guide us and support us in being kind, compassionate and hard-working members of SASJ. We continue to use prayer throughout the day to praise and thank God for food, friends and opportunities to show love for one another. We begin our very special journey in the Sacramental Programme this year, and we prepare in many ways with |Father Stamp’s guidance and the support of our parish community.
Note to parents - As a Year 3 teacher, I am in a very privileged position. The transition from infants to juniors can be an anxious time for parents as well as children. The work-load increases, expectations are higher and their daily routine changes. Please be assured that I put all my energy into easing your child into new routines. I nurture them as they become the confident, independent children that you have raised and placed in our care. I am lucky to work with Mr Pickup and Mrs Davenport who are remarkable teaching assistants and share the same vision for your child. The staff at SASJ work together to ensure that all children progress to their next year group as smoothly as possible.
Our door is always open should you require any assistance while your child is in Elm Class.
